Treat it as a separate system
A dryer exhaust is a separate work scope from HVAC duct cleaning. Ask a provider to explain which parts of the exhaust path they will inspect and clean, including access to its termination.
Describe the concern
Record the dryer location, the route you can identify and any change you have observed. Ask the assessor to distinguish a vent concern from an appliance issue rather than assuming cleaning is the answer.
